Why Have I Never Asked How I Feel?

Before, during and after any decision taken by the Health and Social Services of Guernsey to ONLY fund cutting Anthony's left leg off, he has never been asked about his own expectation of life. Why has this never been afforded to him? It is remarkable how we can continually lift a newspaper reading stories of child neglect even though statutory institutional key mechanisms protecting a child's welfare were in place or already triggered, yet nothing was done. For 7 years the parents of Anthony Thomas McMahon have highlighted similar inconsistencies of healthcare for their son to HSSD but when questioned the curtain of we don't comment on individual cases is drawn. Anthony's plight is exactly that. He is the ONLY person within Guernsey, the Channel Islands and the UK with the condition. How more individual can you get? Is this how the next child or family is to be treated by the States of Guernsey or are they willing to accept and learn from their failings in this case? Could you be next?
